Anne Rowland – Silversmith

Anne Rowland is a silversmith/jeweller based in Derbyshire. Anne’s interest in silversmithing developed over a number of years and she has gained valuable experience from local practitioners learning both modern and more traditional jewellery-making techniques, which is now incorporated into her own work and designs for all of her bespoke silver jewellery pieces.

Anne designs and makes individual silver necklaces, pendants, earrings and other jewellery pieces using contemporary methods, but also the traditional art of lost wax casting, where a detailed wax model forms the basis of a mould, from which solid-cast silver pieces are made.

Semi-precious gemstones and pearls can be incorporated into the jewellery pieces and enamelling techniques are used to produce individual pieces of silver jewellery.
